This is a double edged sword. Energy drinks make your heart rate go up and therefore can help, but a elevated heart rate can create a risk of cardiac arrest. Personally I would say water is the way to do, edged on the side of safety.

Personaly I feel like energy drinks are better. I say this because during my own workouts I do energy drinks while I work out. It makes me feel better and makes me feel as tho I can work out longer. Plus then you get suger and carbs while you work-out. One last ressoan I drink energy drinks is because they taste better than water in my opion. Water is better for you tho.
