Marx's clothing store is selling a lot of items. On Monday 495 items were sold. On Tuesday 450 items were sold. On Friday 593 items were sold. Marx's misplaced the total of Wednesday and Thursday, but the average over the five day was 494 items per day. What could have been the totals for Wednesday and Thursday?

Total of items sold over the 5 days =  494 * 5 =  2470

so total for wednesday and thursday = 2470 - 495 - 450 - 593 = 932

The totals for wednesday could have been 532
  and for thursday they could have been 400.
