Orwell’s purpose for writing was simply to alert the readers about the political situation.

The general purpose of his books was to persuade people as the language used was vital in improving the political situation.

To convince his readers that language use needs to be changed, Orwell also gave many examples of how language was misused in order to cover immoral political acts. This can be seen in Animal Farm as he showed how people take over power.
