Girls do not like things like that, but we also don't like being told up front because it can get really awkward or embarrassing. The way me and my boyfriend started dating was actually pretty cool, him and I hung out for awhile and during that period of time I got to know him and every now and then I would slip a question into our 1 on 1 or group conversations so that I could learn a bit of his interests and then one day I walked up to him and gave him the note in school and walked away without saying a word. But that kind of made it awkward for him because he did not know what to do or say. I would honestly wait until you get to know each other a little bit and then when the time is right ask her, say "We have been talking for awhile and I think that I really like you" there is a 150% that there is going to be a awkward pause and both of you will feel embarrassed but she will eventually reply, try and not make her feel obligated to say she feels the same way because sometimes we will say that we do just so that we don't make you feel bad.
