Disney's Pocahontas is a great movie, but the events are inaccurate to what really happened in history. For example, when Pocahontas met John Smith in the movie she is around 20, in real life she was just 12. In the movie the characters fall in love, but in history they are just close friends. The over smart animals and talking Grand mother Willow is also not real, however the tree could be based on religious beliefs the Native Americans had. Pochantas's name is also not Pocahantas it is her nick name. In Pocahantos 2 John Smith goes missing, I don't think the actually happened. However Pocahantas and John Rolfe did actually get married, and Pocahantas stopped John Smith from getting killed. Unfortunatly, after Pocahantas had her boy she passed away from disease.
