Square X is similar to square Y. The scale factor from square X to square Y is 2.5. The area of square X is 25 cm². What is the area of square Y?

if scale factor is 2.5 then ratio of the areas = 1:2.5^2  = 1 : 6.25, so:-

Area  of square Y = 25 * 6.25  =  156.25
