The Ziggurats are associated with the strong faith of the Sumerians to the gods and goddesses that had protected their city. They believed that the ziggurat is the place where they can connect with the said gods and goddesses. The Sumerians had created various ziggurats to different gods in Mesopotamia. Ziggurat of Ur is one of the biggest zigurrats created by them.
