Sarah: “Tell me all about your weekend! Was it nice to be on the beach?” Rose: “It was awful! It rained the whole time and I didn’t get to spend any time on the beach at all. Instead, we were all cooped up in the hotel room; my little brother and sister were driving me insane! Hopefully that’s the last family vacation we take for a while!” Sarah: “I’m so sorry! My weekend was so boring, I spent the whole time by myself with nothing to do. If you’d been here, we’d have had lots more fun!” Rose: “It sounds like we both had pretty awful weekends and now we have to deal with that stupid Math test...” This dialogue reflects what aspect of communication? a. Men tend to communicate about their topics of expertise b. Women and men tend to communicate about trivial matters c. Women tend to communicate to build relationships d. none of the above

Respuesta :

I believe the right answer, based on this dialogue, is C. Women tend to communicate to build relationships.

Although, I don't fully agree that women do this in general. There are men who also do it, and there are women who don't. However, these two women from the dialogue apparently don't just want to talk about their weekends, but also to draw a common ground as a basis of a relationship.
