Well, the king of Spain had created these New Laws in the year of 1542. When this law had been created it allowed the freeing of all Native American slaves. People who had been in possession of encomiums that had been proven to be guilty of abusing Native Americans immediately had their encomiums revoked. But since a lot of people in Spain didn't like these laws they had protested and sometimes it got violent. Then when a new king had but put in ruling position he had taken a lot of these laws away.
