The answer is " Endeavour"
NASA held a competition in 1988 to name the space shuttle by children and completed it in 1989. Along with some other conditions these students were required to choose a name which should be based on an exploratory or research sea vessel which had previously sailed. And the name " Endeavour" was selected.
