In the “the Monkeys Paw” there are quite a few foreshadows that tend to create tension. One being a reaction by the Sergeant Major Morris that indicates he is in fear of the monkeys paw. Morris tells the Whites about the two first wishes, but recalls the third is for death. This foreshadows, or hints at the danger that is connected to the Paw.
