A larger random sample is more desirable in a survey research because, it forms a better picture of the whole experiment. It also reduces the chances of failure because it shows a better representation of the whole population. The results will be closer to what taking a survey of the whole population will be so there is less room for error. If the random sample is too small then the other members of the population might have a different results, the sample size will be too small to come u with effective results.
