Hii, I need to know how to solve this problem so that i can study for a test, can somebody tell me which topics do I need to review in order to be able to solve this?
ps: I already know the right answer, I just don't feel confident that I'll be able to spot it in the real test

ax(x + 1) + b(x + 1) + cx² = x² + 1

(a + c)x² + (a + b)x + b = x² + 1

b = 1

a + 1 = 0--->a = -1

-1 + c = 1--->c = 2
