The most direct cause of any food handler, even in Texas, is high food safety standards. Clients want to know that the food they are consuming has been treated by someone who respects the food and their job. A food handler must use precautions when touching the food. Such as hand hygiene, hair nets, proper PPE, etc. A food handler needs to pass certain criteria in the state of Texas. They go through a program called 360 Training. They must pass this test to be qualified to handle meats/other foods. They must know about contamination, cross contamination, and proper temperatures that foods must be stored.
