In today's technology, new computers (especially laptops) are coming out all the time. Laptops are also not considered something to have the longevity of a desktop computer and are not nearly as easy to fix on your own, especially newer models that require lots of patience, skill, and special tools. At this point, it's important to ask yourself whether or not spending money on an old machine to get it repaired is worth it, especially considering how much faster a new computer for the same price as repairs would be.
