Well first off you should know that that Thomas Jefferson created the democratic-Republican party and Alexander Hamilton created the Federalist party. They had a lot of differences, but there were a few things the did that worked together. Both parties worked to move the nations capitol. Both of their leaders were in the Cabinet and also both signed the US Constitution.Both Parties wanted a free republic  

There are lot of differences between the federalist and democratic republicans but some of the similarities between these two republicans is :  

  • Both parties work to move the nations capital.
  • Both of their leaders were in the Cabinet .
  • Both Parties wanted a free republic .

Some of the other similarities between federalist and democratic republicans are :

  • They both tried to compromise with each to minimize political clashes.
  • They both believed that they were doing what was best for the nation.
  • They both believed in some form of Government.

Thus , both the federalist and democratic republicans worked for nation .
