What is diffusing responsibility?
Diffusing responsibility means not fulfilling your responsibility at the time when it is put upon you. People do not consider social responsibility as an important aspect.
Incident
Road accidents are common incidents where people generally diffuse responsibility and only become bystanders to the event. Say for example, a truck hit a motorbike on a highway. The truck driver fed and the bike rider was severely injured. People gathered around him and started taking videos of the accident. This is a time when people diffuse their responsibility of taking the injured to the hospital and getting him treated.
