mother teresa! she helped many people with her works of charity and won the nobel peace prize for doing so.

First person who popped into my head was Martin Luther King Jr.! Martin was a Baptist minister and activist who was a leader in the Civil Rights Movement, and fought for the Christian belief (though you may not be Christian, I think of him to be a great hero).
