It is through ethnology that anthropologists have seen that despite surface differences observed in ethnography anthropologists have historically looked at the ways in which gender roles are frequently culturally assigned rather than being simply genetically determined characteristics.
Ethnology is a term that refers to 'a people' and indicates that scholarly interest in aggregation of human beings are differentiate from each other in terms of cultral material , religion, languages, moral ideas and social institutions. The main focus of ethonolgy is the study of human as a cultural beings, behaviours and expressions analysis and historical reconstructions.
Ethonolgy is important to anthropolgy because it offers excellent insight to social anthropologists undertake their fieldswork that is daily life experience and the political, economic and social dynamics environment that involved in collecting data.
