That's one of the very minor reasons for the colonisation Africa, but yes, it is a reason.

Since this is a statement, I'm going to assume it's true or false. While a small minority of Europeans moved to African colonies, it was more so for economic benefit than it was for over population. Remember: there were billions less of humans. So this statement would be *FALSE*.
