A taught reaction to consuming damaged or hazardous food is taste aversion. When you experience a taste aversion, you avoid eating the items that make you feel unwell. It's possible for taste aversion to be so strong that you occasionally avoid the foods that you link to certain illnesses even when those illnesses weren't brought on by those foods. When an organism exhibits a noticeable decrease in consumption of a food or drink after being exposed to that substance prior to a disease episode, it is said to have learned to dislike it.
