Muscle tissue has control over the other tissues and is found in all organ systems.
Animals have a specialized tissue called muscle that contracts when activated, applying forces to various body parts. Muscle tissue consists of fibers of muscle cells connected together in sheets and fibers. Together, these fibers and sheets are referred to as muscles, which regulate many other contractile processes as well as an organism's movements. Depending on their purpose, animals have one of three types of muscle. Despite slight differences, these muscles have similar structures and functions. Muscle tissue has a unified function and is frequently joined by the same nerve bundles. The muscle contracts in response to a signal coming from the outside world or a nerve impulse leaving the brain. The entire muscle contracts as soon as the nerve impulse reaches all of the muscle tissue's nerve cells, which happens almost instantly.
