In the poem The hunting of Shumba the punctuations have very well used to convey different expressions.
The exclamation mark in line 1- It clearly shows and expresses an emotion of surprise which is accompanied with the breaking of glass blade. The poet is startled by the action of breaking and hence he uses an exclamation mark.
