E = 3S

=> S = E / 3

Also from (2) we get total number of hours worked by Cleo is 180.

Therefore, 8E + 6S = 180

Substituting value of S in the equation:

8E + 6 * (E / 3) = 180

8E + 2E = 180

E = 18

Total number of eight hour shifts worked by Cleo is 18
