1/4  it is just like having 4 quarters so if you have for quarters get them and lay them on down and 0.25 is 1 quarter.

However, this fraction can be simplified. If you divide the top number (the numerator) and the bottom number (the denominator) by 25, you get the fraction in its simplest form, which is [tex] \frac{1}{4} [/tex].

Obviously, this only works with some numbers, where both the numerator and denominator are divisible by a common factor. For example, if you have a fraction like 9/16, you can't divide it any further - 9/16 is the simplest form. However, due to 25 and 100 both having 25 as a common factor, you can get 1/4.
