The archetype which is best described as one who is young and beautiful but doesn't do much to determine his or her own fate is the Ingénue. The Ingénue is a young, pretty lady that can be a love interest for the leading man. This innocent young lady will be the character in mental, emotional or physical danger, that will be rescued by the male character.
