Electrons and protons are particles in an atom with equal but opposite charges. Electrons have a negative charge and protons have a positive charge. What is the charge of an atom with 2 more electrons then protons?

Change the charge because change the electrons change the charge
Unlike protons, electrons can move from atom to atom. If an atom has an atom has an equal number of protons and electrons, then its net charge  is 0. If it gains an extra electron, it becomes negatively charged and is known as an ANION.
