One strength of the Greeks was the heavily-armed Greek hoplites and ships proved more effective in the "narrows," which resulted in the initial successes in Thermopile and the naval Battle of Salamis. Another strength was that the participating Greeks were willing to compromise, as seen in the Peloponnesian League. In this case, both Sparta and its allies needed to reach compromises and agree unanimously. This allowed for cohesion and cooperation in battle. Another Greek strength was the discovery of silver in eastern Attica, which facilitated the growth of the Athenian naval fleet. Without this silver, the Greeks could have been defeated by the Persians in the pivotal Battle of Salamis. Another significant strength that the Greeks had was the willingness to fight for the rights of inclusion and prosperity that their democracy facilitated.
I hope this helps! :)
