Given :-

  • A graph of equation is given to us.

To find :-

  • The equation of the line in slope intercept form .

Solution :-

As we can see that the graph passes through (0,-6) and (3,0) . So using this we can find the slope of the line . As ,

[tex]\red{\longrightarrow}\sf slope = y_2-y_1/x_2-x_1[/tex]

[tex]\red{\longrightarrow}[/tex] slope = 0 -(-6)/3-0

[tex]\red{\longrightarrow}[/tex] slope = 6/3

[tex]\red{\longrightarrow}[/tex] slope = 2

Also we can see that the y intercept is -6 , as it cuts y axis at y = -6 . On using the slope intercept form of the line we have ,

[tex]\red{\longrightarrow}[/tex] y = mx + c

[tex]\red{\longrightarrow}[/tex] y = 2x + (-6)

[tex]\red{\longrightarrow}[/tex] y = 2x - 6

Hence the required answer is y = 2x - 6
