Your poster was sold for 4250 pesos. You want to share this money with your two siblings. You and your younger sibling will each receive ¼ of the amount and the rest will be for your oldest sibling. How much money will each of you receive?

First we need to divide this number by 4
4250/4= 1,062.50

This amount is equal to 1/4 so you and your younger sibling will receive that much.

The older sibling will receive 2/4 of the amount (the remainder) so we need to double this amount.

1062.5x2= 2125

so your older sibling will receive 2125 pesos and you and your younger sibling will receive 1062.50 pesos.
you and you’re younger sibling each receive 1062.5 pesos.
the oldest sibling will receive the rest (4250/2=2125) 2125 pesos.
