The relative importance of the causes of the civil war in the period from 1830 to 1861 are they helped to end slavery especially in the South where abolitionists had a problem.
The American Civil War which occurred between the period of 1830s and 1861 was as a result of a series of events which included slavery as its major cause with the South refusing to end slavery because they were of the opinion that slaves were beneficial to them as labor.
With this in mind, we can see that because of this main issue, there was already an agitation to end slavery which kept on building momentum till the Civil Rights Act was passed, effectively ending slavery and racism in the country.
