Equation (1) - (2)

2 - 4x + 3y - y = 8 - 2

-4x + 2y + 2 = 6

-4x + 2y + 2 -6 = 0

-4x + 2y -4 = 0

2y = 4x + 4

y = 2x + 2 equation (3)

In equation (1),

2 + 3(2x + 2) = 8

2 + 6x + 6 = 8

6x = 8 - 6 - 2

6x = 0

x = 0

In equation (2),

4(0) - y = 2

0 - y = 2

-y = 2

y = -2

Answer x = 0 and y = -2
