The pope himself was an artist.
The church paid people to create art.
Monks taught art classes to Christians.
Friars traveled to find works of Christian art.
i am mot sure but heres what I can say, The catholic church influenced European art and architecture because tons of European art involves Jesus or/and angles. It effected architecture because churches were built and cathedrals and etc.
