any number less than 12.5 and greater than or equal to 11.5 would round to 12 when rounded to the nearest whole number because when rounding, you always have to round a number that is greater than 5 up and less than 5 down. Which means that a number more than 11.5 will be 11.6 and up. since 11.5,6,7 and so on is equal or greater than 11.5 so it rounds up to 12. if you have a number less than 12.5 means it will be around 12.4 so it will round down to 12 when rounded to the nearest whole number.
