Alright! In order to figure this out, we simply take 15% of $22. First, we must convert 15% to decimal form in order to multiply:

15% ⇒ .15 [Note: Percentages are less than 1]

Then multiply them together:

[22 x .15] = 3.3 or $3.30.

$3.30 is the minimum ideal tip.

And so, $3 isn't a good tip by a margin of 30 cents.
