Sports:
La Gallinita Ciega, or “the blind hen” is a very popular Mexican game among children in Mexico and closely resembles a game you might already be familiar with: blind man’s bluff. Escondidas is exactly like hide-and-seek, but there are a few twists that you can put on this traditional favorite that make it a uniquely Mexican game. La pirinola is traditionally played during the Festival of Dia de los Muertos, or The Day of The Dead. In this game, you need a pirinola, which is a six sided die-like top with instructions printed or painted on each face. El Patio De Mi Casa is a singing game, very similar to ringa-ringa-rosie, and it begins with all of the children (4-6 children work great for Mexican games like these) holding hands in a circle. They begin to move counter-clockwise as they continue to hold hands, all the while singing,
Festivals:
Cinco de Mayo is a national holiday set to honor the Mexican army’s defeat over the French Empire on May 5th, 1862. Public and private altars are set up celebrating the various days of the event, and visitors are welcome to walk among the city’s cemeteries to get the whole Día de los Muertos experience. The Puebla State Fair, which runs from mid-April to mid-May, is a classic family event with games, food, and rides for everyone. Each year, Mexico’s acclaimed Ambulante Film Festival comes to Puebla for several days to show off local and international filmmaking talent. In November, Puebla will host its third annual International Silent Film Festival.
I really hope I get Brainlist for writing all of this!
