For those who are naturally inclined to technology rather than paper and pen, this is also a huge benefit. But along with these benefits comes a possible problem. It is extreemly easy to cheat. No one is watching you and you can look up everything.
Second, is the challenge of classes that nearly require in person. To begin, its harder for teachers to work one on one with students who are struggling. and evren if they can, it wont be as good as it would be. Some students thrive in person. And the social aspect of in person school is removed, so in one hand there arent as many distractions, but sociality is necessary for development. Another issue is the classes that are almost entirely in person. Band, Arts, theater, all these classes cannot continue and if they do its terrible.
So how do we solve this? For cheating, a screen sharing program that the teacher can observe would help but whats to stop them from using their phones. This issue will take a lot of work to solve. Secondly, the classes that require in person. A potential possibility is smaller groups meeting up. This could also help the social aspect of things and the one on ones.
Not all of these problems can be solved easy. The benefits and drawbacks of online, the lack of in person classes and social interaction, and other issues. But for now, we work with what we have and take the opportunities and possibilities as the come along. This is the new normal that we have to adapt to.
