I would first take steps to stop deforesting and the take action to replant the forests. Along with global warming, it would cause our winters to be extremely cold which could possibly result in glaciation. Having glaciation and extreme heat with the global warming could throw off the balance of the Continental Divide because if we end up having glaciers that could melt in the summers extreme heat, all of that fresh water would run down the basins into the ocean throwing off the PH balance and killing animals that are necessary in the food chain.
