One day, Prometheus, a titan, looks down upon man and sees their suffering. He feels pity on them, and approaches Zeus to propose a plan to help man- by giving them fire. Zeus scoffs at this idea, and sends a distraught Prometheus away. Prometheus is said to have snuck off and light a mini-fire to a reed with dry fiber. He travels down to Earth, and gives man fire. After all of this, Zeus sees man's advancements, and grows angry. He chains Prometheus to a mountain peak where two vultures would come every day to pick out his liver- just for it to grow back out again. Eventually, Hercules rescues him, but this time Zeus shrugs it off.
