A pallindromic sequence of DNA  is the sequence which could be read the same in both direction on both strands. Among nucleotide Bases A (adenosine) pairs with T (thymine) with a double bond while G(Guanine pairs with C (cytosine) with triple bond. Since the complimentary strands run in opposite direction, then if the eight bases on one strand is 5'-GAATATTC-3' then the sequence on the complementary strand will be 5'-GAATATTC-3'.
