Heat stroke is the condition indicated by absence of sweating, hot dry skin and elevated core temperature
Explanation:
Prolonged exposure to high temperature causes a heat stroke. This is usually accompanied with dehydration which impairs the body’s temperature control system and elevates the core body temperature to 104 degree Fahrenheit.
This affects the central nervous system and causes neurological symptoms like dizziness, headache, seizures, unconsciousness, confusion, staggering, and disorientation.
Other symptoms include
- Hot and dry skin due to lack of sweating in spite of extreme heat exposure
- Rapid heartbeat and breathing
- Muscle cramps
- Nausea and vomiting due to dehydration
