Answer: A. The United States was the first country to develop an atomic weapon.

Explanation: The Soviet Union was mad that they were on the same team, but didn't know about the U.S. developing and making the first atomic weapon. Because of the U.S. keeping their atomic weapon a secret, the cold war happened.
