Here are the three steps:
1. Cut open the plasmid and paste the plasmid in the gene. ( relies on enzymes)
2. Place the plasmid into bacteria and use an antibiotic to see what bacteria took up the plasmid.
3. Grow a multitude of plasmid-carrying bacteria and use them to make and harvest the protein.
