A slide contains a bacterial cell and a human skin cell. If the slide is viewed using a high-power microscope, which structures will be visible in the bacterial cell only?

Respuesta :

***see attached pic***

One structure you would most likely see in a bacterial cell is called a plasmid. Plasmids are small, circular pieces of DNA that are only found in the nucleoid region of bacterial cells (not pictured in attached image).

Depending on the type of bacteria, you may also find pilli and flagella (pictured in attached image). Pilli are short hair-like projections from the cell membrane and flagella are long, thin appendages move and allow the bacteria to propel itself forward. You won't find these surface structures on a human skin cell.

Some bacterial cells have a cell wall, so depending on the bacteria, perhaps that would be seen (pictured in attached image). Human skin cells do not have cells walls.
