As we know that

[tex]\frac{1}{d_i} + \frac{1}{d_0} = \frac{1}{f}[/tex]

here we know that

[tex]d_0 = 6 cm[/tex]

[tex]f = 10 cm[/tex]

now from above equation we have

[tex]\frac{1}{d_i} + \frac{1}{6} = \frac{1}{10}[/tex]

[tex]d_i = -15 cm[/tex]

so image will form on left side of lens at a distance of 15 cm
