The reason people want to go to  a university is that they want to advance in the career they want to have. Going to a community college would not provide experience they need to pursue they career they have chosen. In universities, there are many more classes to take than there is in a community college, which means you have more options even if you don't know what career you do want to pursue.
I don’t know what part of the world u are in but where I live college and uni is one Nd the same thing. But u r in Canada people tend to go to uni because academic success if only available there. If u go to a university right after hs u get a lot more of the case academic side of the education that the practical side which u get in college
