Matt has a full jar of marbles he gave Kayla 3/4 of marbles then Kayla returned 1/3 of a jars worth of marbles to the jar. How much of the jar is now full of marbles?

take away 3/4   leaves 1/4 in jar

kayla returned 1/3  to the jar

now the jar has 1/4 + 1/3

common denominator 12

1/4 * 3/3 + 1/3 * 4/4

3/12 + 4/12 = 7/12

The jar is 7/12 full
