1) first step

you must  do( a+b) ^2 = a^2+2ab+b^2

then

2)second step

y = -3(x+1)^2 +4 = -3( x^2+2x+1) +4⇒ y = -3x^2-6x-3 +4, y = 3x^2-6x+1
