The correct answer to this question is (-3, 1) and here is why:
To graph each equation you must first isolate "y" so
[tex]4x+4y=-8\\\\\mathrm{Subtract\:}4x\mathrm{\:from\:both\:sides}\\4x+4y-4x=-8-4x\\\\\mathrm{Simplify}\\4y=-8-4x\\\\\mathrm{Divide\:both\:sides\:by\:}4\\\frac{4y}{4}=-\frac{8}{4}-\frac{4x}{4}\\\\\mathrm{Simplify Again}\\y=-x-2[/tex]
Now I did both equations and if you ask me to I will show you how I simplified the other, but after doing what I did up above I just graphed both equations for my answer.
I you find out that I made a mistake somewhere please like me know in the comments below, and promise I will come back and rework my math. Thanks!
