I really need help with this

Parallel lines have the same a slope.
The slope-intercept form:
[tex]y=mx+b[/tex]
A line passes through the points (-2, -4) and (3, 5).
The formula of a slope:
[tex]m=\dfrac{y_2-y_1}{x_2-x_1}[/tex]
Substitute:
[tex]m=\dfrac{5-(-4)}{3-(-2)}=\dfrac{5+4}{3+2}=\dfrac{9}{5}[/tex]
Substitute to the slope-intercept form:
Answer: [tex]y=\dfrac{9}{5}x+b,\ b\in\mathbb{R}[/tex]
